Rhonda Roo’s “How To: Closet Cleanse!”

(Get Started & Ask Yourself Three Questions’?)

(Do You Love It?  Do You Wear It?  Does It Project the Image You Want?)

1) Start by organizing piece by piece; see if you can really fit everything from your closet you are keeping actually in the space?  If not, start by sporting or storing your seasonal clothes or maternity clothes in another space.

2) Sort by type, top, bottom, dress, color or occasion.  Once your decide if to hang or fold your item’s, keep all categories consistent. (For example, I have a lot of swimwear; so I hang all matching suits together and triple hang by color & style! Great to find in a quick snap!)

3) After you decide what to cut, you need to separate your items by toss, store, or donate. (Use a box or separate shopping bags and label as you go, saves a lot of time in the long run.)

4) Toss would be the items that have old stains, or possible holes; a broken zipper that isn’t worth fixing or just can’t be repaired.

5) Store coats or heavy items in a separate closet or containers in the attic.   Donate can be for “Dress For Success”, a women’s shelter, charity,  or even a few select pieces to your sister or girlfriend!
