Runaway Bride

Thinking about making a get-away this Summer and making a move for a "Destination Wedding!" Well, it does sound like a good idea, but think fast!  One thing to always remember is to put in your planning and research far in advance, you and your guests will appreciate it later.

The best properties are booked up quickly during key dates during the summer season.  You want to give yourself plenty of time to try and find the best location and price, because rates sky rocket when the demand is highest!  Keep in mind travel price and lodging if you you a planning a posse!  Lots of close friends and relative might have good intentions on attending, but not the pocketbook to back it up!

Start by selecting your "Dream" location and always have a back-up plan, just in case dreams don't always come true!  I love Tahiti, Fuji, Bahama's or even Hawaii.  But being an adventurous girl, you might like Central America, Europe, Australia, or even the Dominican Republic.  Take your time, you know this only comes once in a lifetime, or so they say.

Once your "Hot Spot" is secure, time to get that wedding coordinator in gear.  Google will now become your "Best Friend"! If your at all thrifty or budget minded, you  just might  pick your Maid Of Honor, remember why you chose her in the first place again?

Take your time flipping through all those "Big" Wedding Books, (you know the ones, with extra good advice on hair & make-up while travel- ing & more tips than you care to remember), but don't forget the rule, at least three months to get your "One & Only" Wedding Gown and that's not even allowing time for altering it , missy!

Keep in mind I just got back from my "Saint Catalina  Island" Destination Wedding/Honeymoon & it went off without a Hitch! (That is if you  don't  count any of the 114 stairs my husband & I had to go up & down daily to get to our fabulous vehicle (A Golf Cart, the cities  choice of

transportation!)  Anyhow, we were very successful at finding  the best minister around! Julie, the Slash,  town's wedding planning, leasing agent, court of clerks, real-estate agent, wedding designer & restaurant connoisseur!  Boy, did we luck out!  Also, found an awesome photographer right in town with a resume that would blow your socks off, & she did, wow!!!  Thanks Shauna for making our day so "Special!"

Well, just keep in mind to start very early with the planning to see if this "Fairy Tale" Wedding can become a reality for you & your dream man.

I do believe wishes do come true, just ask my hubby!  Good luck all your lovely single ladies, the sky's the limit!!!!
