Whitney Houston was laid to rest Sunday. The singer's very private burial took place at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey.  Only family and a few close friends were permitted to attend the service, with Whitney being buried next to her father John Houston, who died in 2003.

Saturday’s funeral for Whitney Houston was not without its drama. Whitney’s ex-husband Bobby Brown showed up for the service with an entourage of nine people, although he was told in advance that he could only bring one. He was seen leaving before the service began, with Reverend Al Sharpton tweeting that he tried to calm Bobby down inside the church. Later Bobby released a statement saying that inside the New Hope Baptist Church he and his children were asked by security to move on three separate occasions, and in addition, he was not allowed to see his daughter Bobbi Kristina once he got inside. “I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move,” he said. “Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene.” He added, “My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how.” Later that night Bobby performed at a New Edition concert in Connecticut, where he told the crowd, “I want to give blessings to my ex-wife,” adding, “I love you.”

And in even more drama, The Daily Beast reports that after Whitney’s funeral on Saturday, daughter Bobbi Kristina “disappeared,” and was found “using drugs,” early Sunday morning, just before the family left for Whitney’s burial.  “Everyone was freaking out and calling Bobbi Kristina’s cell,” one source, a longtime family friend told The Daily Beast. “It was so much commotion and activity after the funeral that Bobbi Kristina just slipped away." The source adds that Bobbi Kristina “has a drug problem,” and the family “had been trying to keep her straight even before Whitney passed.”  Adds the source, “But losing your mother and the life you’re accustomed to all in one day is enough to send anybody off the deep end.” A rep confirms that Bobbi Kristina was missing Saturday night, but downplayed the drug angle. Said the Houston family spokesperson, “she needed some time alone. She is going through a very hard time as you can expect.”

Janet Jackson is the latest big name rumored to be up for an X Factor gig.  The Hollywood Reporter quotes an insider who says that Jackson has expressed interest in joining the show. This news comes after Jackson played coy about X Factor with Anderson Cooper. In an interview conducted last week, Anderson asked Janet about the Fox show, to which she replied, "Oh my God. No I'm not a judge on The X Factor." When Cooper prodded a bit more, questioning, "You're not currently a judge on The X Factor?" Janet replied, "No I am not. But that's all I really think I should say." The source tells the Hollywood Reporter that talks with Jackson are in the preliminary stage. Producer Simon Cowell is also said to be interested in Pink and Katy Perry.

During Saturday night’s episode of Saturday Night Live it was confirmed that Lindsay Lohan would be hosting the show March 3rd. According to TMZ, it was Lindsay who reached out to the show’s producer Lorne Michaels about hosting, and after several conversations they agreed upon a date. White Stripes frontman Jack White is confirmed as musical guest.
