Whitney Houston turned to alcohol and drugs because she was a lesbian and unhappy about living a lie, according to gay rights activist Peter Tatchell. For years there have been rumors about Whitney's secret relationship with ex-assistant Robyn Crawford, who Whitney met when she was 16. "It's important to tell the truth about this aspect of her life," Tatchell told the Daily Star. "Whitney was the happiest at her peak in the 1980s when she was with her female partner. Perhaps her inability to accept and express her same-sex love contributed to her substance abuse and decline." Tatchell claims Whitney was pressured into marrying Bobby Brown for image reasons, and adds, "her life started going downhill soon afterwards."

TMZ reports that just days before her death, Whitney Houston was telling friends that she believed "the end was near."  Sources tell the site that in what turned out to be her final days, Whitney was "very spiritual," quoting from the Bible, and telling pals that she "really wanted to see Jesus."  Insiders add that on the morning of her death, Whitney was discussing a Bible passage with friends about John the Baptist and Jesus, saying, "You know, he's so cool. I really want to see that Jesus."

Russell Brand is single again, and he's doing when single men do – picking up women. The Sun reports that Katy Perry's ex was spotted out with a "mystery woman," at the Largo Theater in LA, and then brought her back to his home. "Like any bloke, he had missed female company," claims a source. "He isn't quite back to his old ways yet, but he's very much back in the saddle."

Adele fans were up in arms earlier this week when a Vogue article came out in which the Grammy winner claimed she was going to take a five-year hiatus from recording. "I am (bleeping) off for four of five years," she told the mag. But apparently, Adele has changed her mind. In a post on her personal blog, Adele wrote, "I’ve a few days off now, and then it’s the Brit Awards here at home and then I’m straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!"

In a new interview with Allure magazine, Kim Kardashian opens up about her future, and whether she thinks she'll ever become a mom. “Do I want kids of my own? Absolutely,” she tells the fashion magazine. “But I don’t know if that’s what’s meant for me. Maybe I’ll just work, work, work, and not think about it.” Meanwhile, Kim's sister Khloe is still trying to get pregnant, and may be looking for alternative ways to become a mom. "Khloe joked with me and said, 'Will you be my surrogate?'" said Kim, who told her sister. "I think I have a couple of more years when I just want my body to myself. At 35, I promise I'll consider it.” Meanwhile, the internet's abuzz at the possibility that Kim Kardashian may be reuniting with her former boyfriend-of-three years, NFL star Reggie Bush.

Billy Bob Thornton is reportedly writing a new film about his relationship with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. Billy Bob explains that the movie, And Then We Drove, which he'll also direct, is about "a guy who's on a road trip and picks up this girl along the way, and what happens to them. It's about the question of life: What is this? Where do I fit in?" A source had told Variety that the film was inspired by Thornton's relationship with Jolie, but a rep for the actor denies the claim.
