The rebound is officially underway for Katy Perry ... who was all about the PDA with her new man at Coachella ... hugging, caressing and full on making out.  The guy is Robert Ackroyd -- the guitar player for Florence and The Machine.  The two were also spotted together at the music festival last weekend ... and according to some reports, Katy was already referring to him as her "boyfriend."

Jennifer Aniston and boyfriend Justin Theroux are planning a wedding thousands of miles away from Hollywood ... TMZ has learned.   Sources connected with the Elounda Beach Hotel in Crete (where Aniston's dad was born, located about 230 miles south of Greece)... Aniston was there recently, scoping the place out. Our sources say Aniston mentioned a July wedding.  The hotel website boasts a wedding package that includes:

-- A dedicated consultant

-- Legal, License Paperwork Requirements

-- Civil or Religious Ceremony outside of the Hotel’s Church

-- Bridal Bouquet, Grooms Boutonniere, decoration of the club car

Dick Clark may have died Wednesday, but he’ll be a part of at least one more New Year’s Eve in Times Square. The Times Square Alliance announced Friday that  fans will now be able to submit memories and tributes to the broadcasting legend which will be printed on pieces of confetti that will be used to shower midtown Manhattan when the ball drops at midnight December 31st.  Submissions can be made online, or at the Times Square Visitor Center & Museum

Metta World Peace Injures James Harden With An Elbow ... Ron Artest jammed a ball and then elbowed Oklahoma City's James Harden in the head. Artest was ejected while Harden had a concussion.

Cops went back to the Beverly Hills apartment of Lane Garrison yesterday -- and this time the former "Prison Break" star was there ... so they arrested him on suspicion of domestic violence. 

Now get this. Lane -- who did prison time for crashing a car that killed a high school student -- is 6 days away from ending his parole. Lane’s Lawyer says Ashley knew this and it could be her motivation for getting Lane arrested.
