Dirt Alert 12/30/11

Looks like there's a new celebrity romance brewing. E! reports that Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana, who star in the upcoming movie The Words, are an item. "They are totally dating," claims a source.  Rumors of a romance between the two stars began a few months ago, when they were spotted together at a New York nightclub. At the time, Saldana denied the claims, since she was reportedly still engaged. But just last month, Saldana announced that she and fiancé Keith Britton split after 11 years together.

Basketball great Michael Jordan is planning another walk down the aisle. People reports that Jordan popped the question to girlfriend Yvette Prieto over Christmas weekend. The couple has been dating for three years. This will be the second marriage for Jordan. He was previously married for 27 years to Juanita Vanoy. They have three children, Jeffrey Michael, 23, Marcus James, 21 and Jasmine, 19.

A former nanny who worked for Kris Kardashian and Bruce Jenner is ready to spill the beans on the famous family. TMZ reports that Pam Behan, who worked as a nanny, personal assistant and cook for Bruce and Kris, is shopping a tell-all book in which she plans to dish some dirt on her former employers. Behan reportedly couldn't stand Bruce's sons, Brody and Brandon, calling them "extremely spoiled and disrespectful." She was fond of Bruce, but had a "love/hate" thing with Kris. As for the Kardashian sisters, Pam plans to reveal some "intimate details" about Kim and Kourtney. So far there's no word on whether Pam has been able to land a deal for the book.

Sinead O'Connor is still talking about the end of her 16-day marriage to Barry Herridge. So what exactly went wrong? "It felt like I was living in a coffin. It was going to be a coffin for both of us, and I saw him crushed," she told The Sun. "The whole reason I ended it was out of respect for the man."  Sinead also says that her search for pot on their wedding night posed a problem for Herridge, who is a drug counselor. "We ended up in a cab in some place that was quite dangerous. I wasn't scared – but he's a drug counselor. What was I thinking?," she explained. "Then I was handed a load of crack. Barry was very frightened – that kind of messed everything up a bit, really."

Mother-to-be Rachel Uchitel sure is expecting a lot from her friends and family. Tiger Woods' former mistress, who earlier this week confirmed rumors that she is expecting, has included several pricey items on her baby registry, including a $1,000 stroller and a breast pump that costs $300.  There are some cheaper items on the list, including two sets of pacifiers at $4.99 each. Although Rachel and husband Matt Hahn have not revealed the sex of the baby, the registry seems to give it away, stating that their baby girl is due on May 12th.

Reports claiming a chimpanzee who played Tarzan's sidekick in movies from the 30s died may be a hoax. Debbie Cobb, the director at the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary in Florida, claimed Wednesday that her grandparents had gotten the chimp named Cheetah in 1960 from Tarzan star Johnny Weissmuller, but Cobb could not provide any proof because all documentation was allegedly lost in a fire. She claimed Cheetah was 80, but chimpanzees don't normally live that long. In fact, the animal sanctuary Save the Chimps told EW.com that chimpanzees in captivity normally live to between 40 and 60.  This isn't the first time someone claimed their chimp starred along Weissmuller. A similar claim in 2008 was proven false by the Washington Post, when it was discovered that the chimp in question was born in 1960, and wasn't old enough to have been in the Tarzan movies.

Short hair was apparently a hit in 2011. According to the Wall Street Journal, Emma Watson's pixie cut and Justin Bieber's bangs were the most influential hairdos of the year.   As for other important stylish moments of 2011, the Royal Wedding was named "Fashion Event of the Year," while Kim Kardashian's sham wedding was named "Most Spectacular Bridal Fiasco," and Target's Missoni line, which crashed the store's website, was deemed "Worst Fashion Sales Strategy."
