The Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show hosted by Kerry Vincent of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
As the weather changes to autumn and summer evenings draw short, banish the thought of winter for a moment and plan to attend an event guaranteed to enchant loved ones and warm the spirit.
Kerry announces, “Amazing breaking news: Sixty Minutes Australia is coming to document the 2012 Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show & Grand National Wedding Cake Competition. There will be interviews, cake closeups and a show overview!”
The festivities will begin Friday afternoon, September 28 with competition and contestant setup (not for public viewing), with all the flurry of cakes arriving, registration, unveiling – and then the event itself will open to the general public September 29 and 30, 2012.
The theme of this year’s show is “Headgear, Hats and Headbands.” It will be held in the sugar art section of the Quiktrip Building at the Tulsa State Fair on Saturday, September 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
General fair admission is $10 per person. There is no additional charge to see the Grand National Wedding Cake Competition, sugar art show or world-class demonstrations presented during the day.
