Kanye West’s ire has a brand new target, but it’s not the folks behind the Grammys, Beyoncé, or even Kim Kardashian’s detractors; this time, Kanye’s fuming over funny girl Lena Dunham.
So what about the Girls star has Kanye so mad? Is it her show’s apt, yet uncomfortable, portrayal of millennial entitlement? Zosia Mamet’s ridiculous buns? The ultra-hipster soundtrack?
Nope — Kanye’s got a case of the sads because Lena earned herself a spot on the cover of Vogue, while his lady love Kim Kardashian still can’t get Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour interested.
“Kanye thinks that Kim has a much bigger fan base and appeal than Lena,” an insider reveals to RadarOnline.com.
“To Kanye, it’s insulting that his friend Anna is still refusing to even consider putting Kim on the cover of Vogue. He thinks Anna is listening to a bunch of ‘know-nothing’ corporate haters, as he put it. He’s upset that Anna isn’t willing to do him this personal favor and put Kim on the cover.
While it’s been reported in the past that Anna refuses to put reality star Kim on her cover for fear of tarnishing the iconic magazine’s brand, she seems to be warming up to the idea of having Kim on the French or Italian issue of the magazine, if only to keep Kanye from begging.
Says a source close to the star: “There would still be some backlash if Anna allowed that to happen, but not as much if Kim were to appear on the U.S. edition.”
Do you think Kanye should keep pushing to get Kim on the cover of Vogue, or should he finally give up the fight?
