If you weren't already in love with Natasha Lyonne from one of her many past project, chances are you fell head over heels after watching her as the instantly likable Nicky Nichols on Orange Is the New Black Season 1.
Wetpaint Entertainment chatted with Natasha at the Christian Siriano Fall/Winter 2014 Collection fashion show during New York Fashion Week, where the charming star looked like she could have walked the runway herself in a Christian Siriano belted tea-length, cream-colored dress.
Natasha dished about why working on Orange Is the New Black is such a thrill, and let us know which Litchfield Penitentiary lady really brings it with her real-life fashion.
Wetpaint Entertainment: You’ve had a long, successful career before all of this. How have things changed since you joined Orange Is the New Black?
Natasha Lyonne: It’s been so exciting to be on such a well-received show. I really believe in it, so it makes it that much more rewarding.
How has Netflix been different from your previous experiences with TV?
It feels like we’re part of something really exciting and original. I think that really comes from the top down. There’s a real sort of fearlessness. There’s an electricity on set that feels like a part of something that hasn’t been done before in all senses.
How has the reception been from people?
I gotta tell ya, people really love this show. It’s very fun, and it’s really great that so many people are being discovered off of the show. So many intensely talented girls. So it’s just been great.
Since you are all always dressed in jumpsuits on-set, off-set who has the best style?
I think Kate Mulgrew. I really enjoy when she comes to work with over-the-knee leather boots. I always think that’s a very saucy look and I’m into it. She’s got some style, that Kate Mulgrew.
