Looking for a little upper crust refinement after hours and hours of football? You're in luck! Downton Abbey is new tonight and it's a good'un.
We're more than halfway through Season 4 (the finale's this month, you guys!) and the action is just picking up for the Crawley family and friends. In case you need a quick refresh on what happened during last week's episode, we've got you covered plus a roundup of all our new spoilers for this latest installment.
If knowing everything before it happens doesn't sound appealing to you, we also have some details with minimal spoilage as well as blast from the past with a Season 3 summary. Of course, if spoilers are totally your jam, we've got tons and tons of information in our Season 4 roundup. How are we so very well-informed? We might have already seen the whole season...
Too much information? Just want a quick look at what's planned for the new episode, on tonight at 9 p.m. on PBS? Keep on reading. We've avoided any major giveaways while still hinting as to why tonight's hour is totally worth watching. So put the foam finger from the game away, and get ready for some Downton Abbey action.
It's a party over at Downton where the Earl of Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) is having a birthday! His rather troublesome niece, Rose MacClare (Lily James), has cooked up a special surprise just for the occasion with interesting ramifications for characters both upstairs and down.
Speaking of upstairs characters, keep your eyes peeled for a new face at Downton. Tonight we meet Charles Blake (Julian Ovenden). While he and Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) may not seem to hit it off at first, trust us when we say Lord Gillingham (Tom Cullen) better hurry back sooner rather than later.
By the end of the evening's episode we'll also get some major news for one of the ladies of the house. Got a hunch as to who and what news? Your suspicions are likely correct.
What do you think of Season 4 so far? Know what's about to happen for a certain Crawley woman? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
