Despite long odds, sometimes The Bachelor franchise manages to avoid total disaster and produce true love. Other times it dives head first into total disaster and STILL ends in true love. Yep, we mean our beloved Mesnicks and we’ll visit with them, along with several other successful couples, on The Bachelor: Love Stories, airing Sunday, January 19 from 8 to 9 p.m ET/PT on ABC.
One great feature of the hour will be watching Trista and Ryan Sutter renew their vows. It's not live — like the SeanCat wedding will be on January 26 — since the Season 1 Bachelorette couple held their ceremony last month, when they marked their 10th wedding anniversary. But that just means we’ll get the highlights, with ABC promising to show us Trista and Ryan’s “continued devotion to each other with an extremely moving vow renewal ceremony.” Prepare to squeal and sigh in equal measure!
ABC also plans to give us updates from reigning Bachelorette sweethearts, Season 9’s Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried; plus the last cuties to get hitched, Bachelorette Season 7’s Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum, who tied the knot in December 2012. We’re also expecting to hear from one or two other couples — including Holly Durst and Blake Julian, since Holly tweeted a reminder to watch this special.
And we can’t talk about love without hearing more from Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici a week before their big day. ABC said the future Mr. and Mrs. Lowe will reminisce about their own journey to find love, and also tour their gorgeous Southern California wedding venue and luxurious honeymoon suite.
So if you want a special SeanCat wedding preview, as well as further proof that this silly show can occasionally get the job done, grab your tissues and curl up with us next Sunday. Are you in?
