Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) may have just lost her dad Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson), but in The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 10: "Inmates" we saw her push that grief aside and focus all of her energy on finding Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun).
In a behind-the-scenes video for Episode 10, Lauren explains Maggie's fierce determination. "Nothing really compares to the alternative, which is not finding Glenn. She's just so certain that he's alive," the actress reasons.
But not all characters share Ms. Greene's point of view. She's also traveling with Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Sonequa says her character has an entirely different mindset. "Sasha is totally closed off to that kind of thinking right now," she explains. "The sheer possibility of Tyreese being dead is blinding her."
Stil, Maggie is compelled to learn Glenn's fate and drags Bob and Sasha to the bus with her. As Maggie approaches the bus, Lauren explains what's going through her mind. "You've got such a sense of a tunnel vision and delirium coming up to that moment, then once she sees there are walkers inside she just sort of pegs it for the bus. And that's when it all falls out. She has to get inside there just to know and just to put that to rest, so she steps on that bus with the hope that she's right, but with the preparation that she's about to find his body."
We were happy that Maggie didn't find Glenn's body, and as special effects man Greg Nicotero explains, the search for Glenn renews her spirit.
"The idea that she discovers that walker and realizes that Glenn isn't in that bus gives her her mission," Gregg declares.
Maggie is a tough gal and we know if anyone can find Glenn alive it's her, but we still fear that Robert Kirkman and Co. might just tear Gleggie apart for the shock value. Plus, Glenn does die a brutal death in the comics.
Do you think Maggie will be able to find Glenn, or is this the beginning of the end for TWD's cutest couple? Share your thoughts and theories below!
