One thing we really love about Season 4 of The Walking Dead is that there have been so many things set up throughout the season that we are expecting will be at least somewhat resolved in this spring’s final six episodes.
Yahoo TVrecently chatted with one of TWD’s executive producers, Gale Anne Hurd, about the show and mentioned specifically that Season 4, Episode 10: “Inmates” had several little touches — like Glenn Rhee(Steven Yeun) not knowing that Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) died and Tyreese (Chad Coleman) not being aware that Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) was ever banished from the prison — that were really special for viewers to see. In her typical teasing fashion, Gale made it clear that all of those devices were put there for a reason. “You can imagine how much tension that's going to bring as the season continues to play out,” she dished.
Of course Gale wouldn’t divulge anything about how all of this plays out, but she mentioned tension again when asked if the focus if the season’s final six episodes will be about trying to get the group back together. “It's also [everyone] continuing to battle demons as well,” she began. “We've seen the tension that had built between Rick and Carl. We're going to continue to see how the loss of the prison, how the loss of Hershel, affects everyone, in addition to their hope of reuniting.”
We thought that once Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) realized he really couldn’t live without his dad Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) that the tense period between the two of them would be over, but apparently that’s not the case. Still, we do know that another turn is expected in their already complicated relationship before the season’s end.
