Everyone light a candle and form a prayer circle for Teen Mom 3's resident blonde bombshell Mackenzie Douthit. In less than 24 hours, Mackenzie and her husband Josh McKee will welcome their second child into the world — but this baby girl is making her much-anticipated debut three weeks early!
"Last day of being pregnant = a nice hot bath and Josh playing me some music," Mackenzie tweeted on February 6, along with a video of her rodeo-riding hubby strumming his guitar.
As most fans already know, Mackenzie suffers from Type 1 Diabetes, a condition that sometimes causes life-threatening dips in blood sugar. The 19-year-old Oklahoma native was rushed to the hospital just last week when her blood sugar hit a dangerous low, but she recovered quickly and was able to keep her baby cooking for another week.
Still, 37 weeks is right on the cusp of being considered premature, so Mackenzie will need all the love and support she can get. According to the CDC, there are a number of risk factors associated with premature birth, including chronic health conditions like diabetes. But it's not all too uncommon — 1 in 8 births in the U.S. are pre-term — so doctors should be well equipped to handle Mackenzie's high risk delivery.
Mackenzie had a difficult pregnancy with her first child, Gannon, who was delivered via C-section on September 12, 2011 — an experience that was documented on 16 and Pregnant. Rumor has it the reality star was also expecting prior to joining the cast of MTV's hit docu-series, but that pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage.
Can you believe that Mackenzie is giving birth in less than 24 hours? Tell us your thoughts and well wishes for Mackenzie below!
