Say what you will about Taylor Swift’s dating history — this time, she’s sharing the greatest love of her life with the visitors of Nashville: music.
Thanks to the $4 million donation she made to the Country Music Hall of Fame last year — the largest single donation in the museum’s history — Taylor’s helping provide an opportunity for kids to learn about music in a brand new hands on experience.
And this weekend, Taylor gets to see her dream of spreading her love of music come true as the Taylor Swift Education Center opens its doors months earlier than anticipated on Saturday. A part of a larger expansion being made to the already standing Hall of Fame, the center includes three classrooms and an interactive learning lab.
"In school, I was taught a certain amount about music, a certain amount about theater, and that interest sparked something in me,” Taylor said. “It made me look elsewhere to learn much more about it.”
“I love the fact that this is now a new opportunity for kids to be a part of programs that are going to help them know more about what we do here,” Taylor added.
So will Taylor pop in to give a few lessons? “I think that it's something I would definitely be open to,” she said. Sign us up — and don’t forget to bring Ed Sheeran, because that guy knows how to party.
Are you impressed by Taylor’s donation, or do you think there are bigger causes she should support?
