The number one network continues to prove that it won’t be stopped. While other reality series are fizzling after their third, fourth, or fifth season, CBS is still on top, rolling out the 24th and 28th cycles of their megahit franchises, TheAmazing Race and Survivor, respectively. Production is already underway, and we’ve got premiere dates for both series!
The Amazing Race isn’t letting the fact that The Voice broke their Emmy-winning streak get them down — they still averaged 10 million viewers in their fall edition. A new season of the reality competition will bring us 11 "fan favorite" teams competing for the $1 million grand prize. Oh, and make sure you have some room on your DVR, as this one will be premiering the same night as NBC’s Sochi Winter Olympics: Sunday, February 23.
Meanwhile, Survivor: Cayagan will rev up three days afterwards on February 26, with a two-hour premiere — the first since the February 2010 premiere for the Heroes vs. Villains season. Jeff Probst is obviously back as host, and this time the castaways will be split into three tribes, based on brains, beauty, and brawn. Sounds weird, but we’re good with that!
The Amazing Race Season 24 premieres on Sunday, February 23 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
Survivor: Cayagan returns with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, February 26 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
