Ryan O’Neal will be able to continue to talk to his former life-partner Farrah Fawcett through his original Andy Warhol painting, RumorFix has learned.
The Love Story actor sued the University of Texas to keep the painting of his beloved Farrah that is estimated to be worth somewhere between $800,000 and $12 million.
During the trial, he told the court, “I talk to it. I talk to her. It’s her presence. Her presence in my life. In her son’s life.”
The Charlie’s Angels star died in June 2009 and left all her artwork to her alma mater, but willed nothing to the actor.
After her death, Ryan took the Warhol that was created in 1980 with the permission of Farrah’s trustee. Testimony from several witnesses including Farrah’s chiropractor and her nurse’s assistant backed up Ryan’s claims that he owned the art.
In the end, the jury believed Ryan’s story and her got to keep Farrah.
