A note to anyone who's considering robbing Rihanna: You can stand under her
umbrella-ella-ella security camera-amera-amera.
Rihanna's $12-million L.A. property was apparently broken into over the weekend, according to TMZ. Luckily, it doesn't sound like anything was stolen, although they did smash open her home's sliding glass door.
While Rihanna was performing in Australia over the weekend, a group of burglars drove up Rihanna's private road on her property, walked into the backyard, and threw a chair through her glass door.
However, they fled before entering the home, as they seem to have been scared off by the alarm. Uh, did not they not think her mansion would have an alarm?
Cops say they are still trying to find the intruders, and given that the property is covered with security cameras, we're hoping they'll be apprehended soon. Indeed, RiRi's private road features a sign that says, "Smile, you're on camera."
Rihanna — who has been on her world tour for the past seven months — is presumably used to people breaking into her pad by now. In February, a stalker tried to break into her home but mistakenly entered her neighbor's place. And in June, a different creepazoid was caught by security while he was hanging out on her roof.
We wish Rihanna could find love in a
hopeless burglar-less place.
