We can admit that the crazy “pillow talk” party brawl on the January 26 and February 9 episodes of Real Housewives of Atlantawas certainly entertaining to watch — but it was also really scary. And not just for those of us in the audience, apparently. According to insiders, apparently the cast and crew were just as terrified by the violent events as we were at home!
"Everyone was really shaken up by that fight and really very scared,” an Us Weekly source reveals. “The cast was scared, and production was scared.”
We saw things first play out in the January 26 episode, where Apollo Nida went in on Kenya Moore’s assistant Brandon DeShazer — leaving Brandon with a cracked rib and a black eye. Things continued last night (February 9) when the women faced off, as Kandi Burruss threatened to “f— up” Cynthia Bailey, her sister Mal, and Peter Thomas.
And though the night ended in tears and injuries, the insider says that the show producers (and cast) didn’t foresee things going down the way they eventually did. "The cast had been drinking, and jabs were being exchanged, but no one thought it would get that heated," the source says.
Once things turned physical, the crew was forced to jump in more than a few times, lest things turn too serious. "They jumped in and broke it up," the insider shares. "The entire crew jumped in and they are on camera. They would have called the police, but the crew broke it up first."
We’re guessing that the producers won’t be keen on allowing another event like that happen again. For now, probably better to separate the ladies from their gentlemen — once guys get involved, things tend to get serious!
Can you believe that the production crew were just as scared as we were? Tell us in the comments below.Source: Us Weekly
