A certain TV show host has won his battle with food.
Adam Richman, star of Travel Channel eating show Man v. Food, has dropped an astonishing 60 pounds, according to People. Way to go, Adam!
So how did he do it? He says he dropped the weight by limiting white flour and dairy, along with finding time for more exercise. Also, it helps that he no longer participates in competitive eating, now that Man v. Food has ended its run.
"Man v. Food was the biggest career-defining opportunity," he says. "I went from anonymity to someone of note with access to amazing eateries."
Recently, Adam — who now hosts Amazing Eats and Adam Richman's Best Sandwich in America — was on a recent road trip with his show's crew, and it was hard to avoid the delicious-smelling food that the other people were enjoying.
"The crew got a bunch of pizzas, and it was all I could smell," Adam admits. "It sucked. But I had a Greek yogurt with raw almonds, water and an iced coffee, and I was satisfied." Yogurt instead of pizza? Talk about will power!
