We’re still feeling emotional over the sudden and tragic passing of Paul Walker on November 30. That said, this tribute video released by Universal Studios in memory of the star of their six (nearly seven) Fast & Furious films sent us over the edge.
With clips of Paul’s most memorable moments as Brian O’Conner, we started feeling the tears well up when “I’m Coming Home” started playing. But it’s at about 1:25, when longtime co-star Vin Diesel toasts to his racing buddies, that we completely lost it.
In the clip from Fast Five, Vin’s character Dominic raises a glass to his crew, saying, “The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room, right here, right now. Salud, mi familia.”
Paul’s death has brought forth an outpouring of grief for a guy who enjoyed giving back even more than he liked fast, beautiful cars. Co-star Tyrese Gibson was seen breaking down at the makeshift memorial where Paul and exotic car shop owner Roger Rodas passed away. The two friends had been at a fundraising event for Paul’s charity, Reach Out WorldWide, earlier that day when a test drive of Roger’s new Porsche Carrera GT went horribly awry.
He will be missed.
