Renee Graziano has already been put through the ringer this season of Mob Wives: New Blood, thanks to her issues with newbie Alicia DiMichele. But it looks like tough times are here to stay, at least for a bit, for the OG Mob Wife. Renee took to her Twitter to warn us about what’s sure to be a tough episode tonight (December 26), where we will see the reality star relapse on her pill addiction while on a girls trip to Las Vegas.
“On 2nites epo u clearly c me Relapse 2 hard on me 2 watch but u shld know since Vegas I'm back in RECOVERY n it ROCKS #MobWivesNewBlood,” she tweetedearlier today.
Fans of the show will remember that last season, Renee went to rehab to deal with a prescription pill addiction. She was able to successfully kick the habit, though any recovering addict knows that it’s easy to relapse once put in high stress situations — not a rarity for those fiery Staten Island ladies.
"You will see, I suffered a relapse and I think that I'm like everyone else that's in recovery,” the Mob Wife shared recently. “It's hard in recovery. It's an addiction and it just happened, and you're gonna see why it happened."
And as if it weren’t tough enough to watch a family member go through a situation like this, Renee’s sister and show executive producer Jennifer Graziano had to make the decision whether to let the cameras roll as the relapse went down — which she ultimately did.
"Renee's an open book,” Jennifer explained. “She refuses to let us turn the cameras off and feels she was put on this earth to help people. She feels like if someone can learn from her mistakes, she wants those cameras on all the time."
And while we’re preparing ourselves for the emotional toll that tonight’s ep is sure to take, we won’t be able to let our guards down next week, either. Renee has hinted that Episode 5 is quite a doozy, as well.
“Episode 5, I’m prepping for it now. I’ve sat my son down like five times [to warn him].”
Are you as nervous as we are to watch Renee’s relapse? Let us know in the comments.
