Losing something while out on the town has happened to the best of us. You’re enjoying a few drinks, catching up with friends, and end up at home one (if you’re lucky) item less than what you left with. Well, celebrities are just like us — except when they mistakenly leave something behind, it costs more money than we’ve ever seen in our whole lives.
Take Lindsay Lohan. The 27-year-old starlet and recent rehabee was out in New York City earlier this week and claims she left behind her fur coat. And this isn’t some knockoff thrift shop coat we’re talking about. This is a $75,000 two-piece luxury item we’re sure Cruella de Vil would die to have in her collection.
The way LiLo tells the story, she was at NYC club 1Oak the night of January 29 and left with only one of the two pieces to her ensemble. Upon realizing her mistake, she returned to claim her other half only to find it gone! TMZ reports LiLo proceeded to call “almost everyone who was at her table” but, as of publishing, has had no luck finding her fur.
Funny enough, 1Oak is the same place where LiLo walked out with another person’s expensive outerwear nearly six years ago. In 2008, she left the club with another patron’s $12,000 mink coat (the resulting lawsuit was eventually settled with “no admission of guilt”).
We’d be more concerned about Lindsay catching cold without a coat, but something tells us she can afford to buy a new one.
