The athlete’s friends on the East Coast have also tried to stage interventions as recently as last week, but unfortunately, the concerned pals didn’t even get to see Lamar face-to-face.
“A friend went [to L.A. last week] to reach out and try to help him,” a source told E! News. “Lamar was supposed to meet him but never showed up.”
The helpful friends reported being somewhat surprised about the no-show considering Lamar “seemed to be cooperating with the idea” of an intervention. “Just before he was due to get help,” a source said. “Lamar went missing.”
With conflicting reports about the current state of Lamar’s sobriety, it’s hard to know whether the former NBA star is ready to get help or not. Based on the athlete’s most recent tweet implying that the Kardashians are the “only family” that have ever truly loved him and the fact that today is Lamar’s four-year wedding anniversary with Khloe, we’re hoping Lamar can see the light and seek help.
Do you think Lamar will ever change his ways? Let us know in the comments below!
