The NBA star is reportedly worried that his public image will take a hit now that he’s officially out of the Kardashian family following his divorce from Khloe Kardashian.
Lamar’s concerns might be legitimate — and not just because of the damage he did himself this summer. Since the couple’s marital drama will be featured prominently during Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 9 and since matriarch Kris Jenner is one of the show’s executive producers, storylines might just skew in Khloe’s favor. The family certainly had no qualms about making Kris look hard to live with following his divorce from Kim Kardashian.
“The last thing Lamar needs in his life is to be portrayed as a schmuck,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “Khloe has assured him that it won’t be bad, but how can it not be? The end of the marriage is going to be Khloe’s main storyline next season and Lamar is afraid that his drug use and cheating will be addressed on the show. At the same time, he is trying to make a career comeback and he thinks this is going to hinder and hurt those efforts. He feels he’s going to be used to get ratings for the Kardashians.”
Lamar might be able to find solace in the fact that he and Khloe have remained on good terms throughout their marital strife.
“She is making sure he is taking care of responsibilities with his DUI and meeting with his trainer,” a source said. “It’s definitely a mother-son type of relationship. There will always be a lot of love there between the two, but Khloe has definitely moved on. There are zero plans for the former couple to reconcile and both are very amicable right now, which is a good sign for the divorce. It should be quick, with no drama.”
Do you think Lamar will be portrayed badly in the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians? Does he deserve to be?
