Kim Kardashian’s divorce attorney Laura Wasser has some advice for Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner who are officially separated.
The high-powered attorney, who has represented Maria Shriver, Heidi Klum, Ashton Kutcher, Ryan Reynolds, Christina Aguilera and Shaquille O’Neal, tells RumorFix exclusively that she would “advise them [Kris and Bruce] to be compassionate, to be reasonable and to be brief.”
We caught up with Laura at Los Angeles launch party for her new book, How To Divorce Without Destroying Your Family or Bankrupting Yourself.
Although Laura does not represent either of the Jenners and has no personal knowledge of their situation, she says, “They’re both older and they both have been married before — my hope is that they would take their past experiences in moving forward.”
And based on their joint statement, it appears this separation and possibly divorce will be clean.
“We will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority,” the Jenners said.
The legal eagle says divorce is the “great equalizer” — and in the case of celebrities you just “add a few zeros,” but she says the fear, anger and anxiety are the same.
And, in celebrity divorces she recommends that couples try to keep the case from being tried by the media and the public.
