Kandi Burruss may have just completed her two-week run in the Off-Broadway show, Newsical the Musical, in New York City, but late last year she staged a show of her own in Atlanta, called A Mother’s Love. Since we’re watching Kandi produce A Mother’s Love on The Real Housewives of Atlanta now, it can get a bit confusing, but it’s important to know that AML was actually staged several months ago and had nothing to do with her NYC musical.
The semi-autobiographical show Kandi put together ran for three days back in November and even featured Kandi’s RHoA co-star Porsha Stewart in a singing role. The show was a huge success, but there were still plenty of fans who were unable to make it down to the ATL to see the production for themselves.
But if you were one of the unlucky ones who missed seeing Kandi and her crew in action, then we have some good news for you. When a fan tweeted our girl Kandi and mentioned that she “needs” to release A Mother’s Love on DVD, Kandi declared that those plans are already in the works. “I am! Releasing it in April!,” she excitedly wrote back.
The announcement of this DVD release comes just weeks after Kandi released her new single, “Let Them Love.” Our girl’s on fire and we couldn’t be happier! Things may get a bit dicey for Kandi on the next all-new episode of RHoA, but clearly she has a lot to celebrate now. Will you be buying a DVD of Kandi’s musical, A Mother’s Love? Tell us your plans below!
