We know what you’re thinking: Jennifer Aniston had an awkward stage? We’re kind of baffled, too — we can’t remember a time when Jen looked anything less than perfect. And what’s even more surprising? Her awkward stage didn’t hit until her 30s.
“I don’t think I had a care in the world at 25,” Jen recalls in a new interview with Parade. “That all started in my 30s, my awkward stage. I’m a bit of a late bloomer! But it doesn’t matter to me because it just gets better.”
It doesn’t hurt to point out that her 30s were the years Jen spent married to Brad Pitt. Is it possible their divorce helped her come into her own and finally become the person she is today? And now that Jennifer’s almost 45, that pesky awkward stage is long behind her — and she says she feels younger than ever.
“I feel just as youthful now, if not more, than I did when I was 25,” Jen says. “I’m more in my body, I’m more in my mind. Life is full. Life is wonderful.”
Although, the former Friends star admits, she doesn’t mind taking a peek at old episodes of the show that skyrocketed her into Hollywood success when the opportunity presents itself.
“I actually will always stop and watch, not for the whole thing, but usually because I’ve forgotten a lot of the episodes,” Jennifer reveals. “It’s sort of fun for a second, I’m like, what’s this one? And sometimes it comes back to me. I always know what year it was by what length my hair was or what color.”
It’s fine — we can do the same thing with any episode of Friends, too.
