Autumn has arrived and so has Downton Abbey! Season 4 officially kicked off on September 22 for United Kingdom viewers. We watched the whole thing and have the recap to prove it. Now we're on to Episode 2, airing Sunday, September 29, at 9 p.m. on ITV. True, we're still 13 weeks away before PBS airs the exact same season in the United States but we hope our spoiler roundup can help tide over US viewers. That and writing email after email to PBS asking for PBS to show the series at the same time as the UK. Just an idea.
What can we expect from Season 4 Episode 2? Plenty if the teaser trailer and photos from the episode are any indication. On the horizon, new romantic interests for both Cousin Rose MacClare (Lily James) and Lady Mary Crawley (Michelle Dockery). Of course, it'll be hard to replace the one, the only Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens) but we think we can all agree that baby boy George needs a father and audiences need a new romance! Also look for some drama downstairs between Anna (Joanne Froggatt) and new addition to the staff, lady's maid Edna Braithwaite. Edna's no stranger to causing trouble in Downton; just ask Tom Branson (Allen Leech). We just hope Edna doesn't turn into the new O'Brien (Siobhan Finneran), soap and all!
What are you hoping to see in Episode 2? We love Downton gossip as much as the next fan so share your feels in the thoughts below.
