Wolverine, we’re not in Professor X’s School For Gifted Youngsters anymore. Aussie actor Hugh Jackman has left his rugged mutant ‘do behind and has traded it in for a mullet for Chappie, a film he is currently filming. Brace yourselves!
Hugh has been known to rock many different hairstyles in the past, but we’ve yet to see the talented actor opt for the “business in the front, party in the back” variety. Indeed, a scruffy Hugh appears in his latest Instagram post rocking short hair in the front and enough hair to rock a Padawan braid that would make Anakin Skywalker green with envy.
“Day 1 on Chappie! Vincent is born, rocking the mullet. Working with Neill Blomkamp in SA. This film is rad.” Hugh captioned the shocking photo.
The film in question is Chappie, which is set to hit theaters sometime in 2015, according to IMDB. While Hugh’s role isn’t listed on the film’s page, we can only assume that he is playing Vincent. Here’s the synopsis for the flick:
“After being kidnapped by two criminals during birth, Chappie becomes the adopted son in a strange and dysfunctional family. Chappie is preternaturally gifted, one of a kind, a prodigy. He also happens to be a robot.”
We assume that Hugh will be playing the patriarch of that “strange and dysfunctional family.” With a mullet like that, we expect amazing things from this Oscar-nominated actor.
