Brody: "This was love, you and me."
Carrie: "It's not goodbye."
Brody: "However it hurts the least."
Showtime just released a powerful 3-minute trailer for Homeland Season 3 — which will premiere September 29, whether Time Warner lets you watch it or not.
See the trailer below. The Cinematic Orchestra's beautiful song "To build a home" plays through Carrie's (Claire Danes) latest ugly cries, visions of bald Brody (Damian Lewis) on the lam, Dana (Morgan Saylor) now taking naked selfies (knew she'd find a way to get even more annoying), Saul (Mandy Patinkin) testifying/trying to help sad Carrie, and hot Quinn (Rupert Friend) apparently back on the front line.
As you'll remember, Brody is now a wanted terrorist, fleeing the scene of that Season 2 explosion at Langley. He didn't set it up — it was part of Abu Nazir's plan — but he's being blamed so he's on the run. He wanted Carrie to go with him, but she chose not to. She wants to clear his name, so she's back at Langley with Saul.
It looks like, at one point, Carrie is also back in the hospital — and in handcuffs. Does she get arrested? An issue with her bipolar disorder? Do you think she might actually be pregnant, or is that too soap opera? It seems like it could be possible, after her Brody sexy time, and it would be an interesting plot wrinkle.
