Hilaria Baldwin is speaking out about the constant harassment she and husband Alec Baldwin receive from the paparazzi.
The 28-year-old was a guest host on ABC’s The View on Thursday and discussed with the panel her daily encounters with the paps. Barbara Walters asked her how she deals with the attention while her husband does not handle it very well.
Hilaria said that it’s difficult because “when we go outside of our home there’s people every single day, not one or two but sometimes 50″ and that “they’re not trying to cover a news story, they’re trying to provoke a news story” by getting reactions out of the couple and primarily Alec.
The former yoga instructor noted that the paps shove her, scare her and frighten the couple’s four-month-old baby Carmen and bump into them with cameras intentionally. She also discussed how she just tries to just stare at the ground and not give the paps anything to shoot but that it’s only when she or Alec react that the paparazzi “only show what’s convenient for them to show” and they “only post the photos where you freak out.”
Baldwin realizes that she and Alec “are definitely a target” and at this point “baking them cookies or something” might be the only way to get them to back off.
