We didn't have many disappointments at all while watching Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney's beautiful wedding ceremony to Eddie Judge during the final episode of Tamra's OC Wedding this week. But we did have a small complaint: Why didn't we get to see Heather Dubrow sing at the wedding?
Ever since we first learned that Heather, who was a bridesmaid at the wedding, would be singing at the ceremony, we couldn't wait to hear it! Sadly, Heather's song ended up on the cutting room floor, as there was no sign of her singing during the episode.
So what gives? As it turns out, Heather did indeed sing at the wedding. The song being omitted from the episode had nothing to do with the Housewives themselves, but it was instead a licensing issue.
"For all who have been asking, I sang a bluesy version of 'Come Rain or Come Shine' at Tamra's wedding," Heather explains on Instagram on September 19. "They couldn't 'clear the song (copyright) — so it was cut from the show, but I was so happy to be a part of Tamra & Eddie's special day!"
Talk about a bummer! We would have loved to hear Heather sing a rendition of that lovely tune from the '40s musical St. Louis Woman. You'd think Bravo would have let her know ahead of time that they couldn't clear her song, right?
Either way, it's clear that Tamra and Eddie enjoyed her singing voice, and that's really all that matters.
