We’ve come to expect craziness from Grey’s Anatomy. There is always a chance for things to go from zero to crazy at any moment, and with big events like a wedding on a midseason finale, you better believe that you’re in for a wild ride. And with April Kepner’s (Sarah Drew) wedding to Matthew Taylor (Justin Bruening), we should have known things wouldn’t go down without a few problems along the way.
Sure, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) put April’s big day in jeopardy with their constant bickering — and eventual reconciliation — but it was Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) that brought in the drama in Season 10, Episode 12 (“Get Up, Stand Up”).
His big moment of glory came when the officiant asked those in attendance if they had any problem with the lovely couple finally tying the knot. Jackson looked over at now-girlfriend Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton) and gave her a simple “I’m sorry” before standing up and professing his love for April.
“I love you, I always have,” Jackson began. “I love everything about you. Even the things I don’t like, I love. And I want you with me. I love you and I think that you love me, too. Do you?”
And before April could reply, she inhaled deeply and the episode ended. Curse you, Powers That Be. We need to know what happens! Looks like we’ll have to wait until February to find out if April goes forward with Matthew or if she reunites with Jackson.
What should April do? Should she stay with Matthew or should she go with Jackson? Hit the comments and let us know!
