Thought last month was the happiest time of the year? Then you’re in for a surprise.
With New Year’s officially behind us, we’re entering what Mr. Minute rightly calls the truly merriest season of all: the winter television line-up! Sure, we’ll miss all the spare sugar cookies hanging around but the slew of awards shows (and accompanying champagne) more than make up for it!
The fun kicks off this Sunday when Amy Poehler and Tina Fey host the 2014 Golden Globes. Will lightning strike twice and officially put Amy and Tina in the Hall of Fame for best awards show hosts of all time? Um, obviously.
Among all the star-studded events coming up in the next few weeks, there’s also one huge new addition to our television viewing plans: the Winter Olympics! Hosted in Sochi, Russia, this year’s games will have all the lunging, leaping, and lugeing any snow bunny could ask for. Plus, Shaun White flaunts his new shorter 'do! That alone should earn him a gold medal or two.
If you need a warm up lap before the Opening Ceremony on Friday, February 7, just tune to NBC on Saturday, January 11, for three hours of figure skating at the U.S. Championships. Feel free to wear your own leotard.
How will you be Viggling this weekend? We here at Wetpaint want to know. Share your plans (and favorite winter sports) in the comments below.
