Jennifer Lawrence made Oscar history today.
The 23-year-0ld on Thursday became the youngest actress to score three Academy Award nominations. The star was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in America Hustle.
Her previous two nominations were for Lead Actress in Winter’s Bone when she was only 20. Then last year at just age 22 she snagged her first Oscar statue for Best Actress in Silver Linings Playbook.
Kate Winslet previously held the record, scoring her third Oscar nomination at the age of 27. If Jennifer wins this year – and it looks like she very well could after picking up the Best Supporting Actress win at Sunday’s Golden Globes – she’ll beat Jodie Foster’s record as youngest two-time Oscar winner. Foster scored her second statuette when she was almost 30.
Jennifer is definitely a golden girl in the eyes of the Academy!
