Wetpaint Entertainment chatted exclusively with actress Erinn Westbrook at the People Stylewatch 3rd Annual Denim Party at Palihouse in Hollywood on September 19. After telling us all about the new character she’s slated to play on Glee Season 5 — a “mean girl” Cheerio in case you were wondering — she opened up about how the cast is faring after filming the Cory Monteith Tribute episode earlier this month.
“Everybody has been extremely optimistic and I admire them so much for being able to push through and come together and work hard,” she tells us. “They are such a talented group of people, I’m lucky to be part of this group now.”
Cory (Finn) died of a combination of heroin and alcohol on July 13, leaving his Glee co-stars — especially on and off-screen girlfriend Lea Michele (Rachel) — to mourn his sudden and tragic death.
Though Cory is gone, Erinn says his presence is “definitely” still felt on set. “There are cast photos around the set and I think they’ll leave them there. They don’t want to forget, they’ll always remember," she says.
Glee Season 5 will start with two Beatles episodes — “Love, Love, Love” and “Tina in the Sky With Diamonds”. Episode 3 will be the Cory/Finn tribute, which is scheduled to air on October 10.
