To be honest, we've always wanted to hear Lord Tubbington get an inner monologue on Glee. But in what might be the next best thing, one of our favorite Glee stars has just been cast to voice a robotic dog.
Chris Colfer (Kurt) has been cast as one of the lead voices in the upcoming animated film Robodog, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The other lead character will be voiced by Sons of Anarchy star Ron Perlman. Way to go, Chris!
This will be Chris's first foray into the animated film world, and he couldn't be more excited. "The kid in me is barely being contained right now — I'm so happy to get the chance to work on my first animated film," Chris says.
Chris will be voicing a peppy but overly excitable robotic dog, while Ron is the grumpy real dog who isn't a big fan of technology. The voice cast will start working next month on the film, directed by the director of Stuart Little.
This has been a big couple of months for Glee stars in animated films. Disney film Frozen — featuring the voice of Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James) — continues to rake in tons of cash at the box office. And we have a feeling that Robodog just might be equally successful. After all, who doesn't love adorable cartoon dogs?
Do you think you'll want to see Robodog?
