After much casting drama, the film adaptation of the adult erotica novel Fifty Shades of Grey got off to a later production start than expected.
But it’s going to mean a good thing for millions of men because the release date for the movie has been moved from August 2014 to Valentine’s Day 2015.
Universal and Lionsgate Pictures originally announced the release date for the film as August 1, 2014. And that was before the film even cast it’s lead characters. Then came the Charlie Hunnam casting drama – originally announced as portraying Christian Grey in September only to bow out in mid-October - that pushed back production.
Now that the film has it’s leads in Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, it’s full steam ahead. And the film is highly anticipated by it’s largely female fan base so come Valentine’s Day 2015, we have a feeling a lot of guys are going to be accompanying their ladies to see the erotic drama. And getting really lucky afterwards!
