Former Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham’s teenage dream may have ended, but her dream of becoming the most talked-about cast member on Couples Therapy is well under way.
The reality star and “sex tape” participant sat down with E! Online to discuss how she’s dealing with the scrutiny she’s been receiving from her appearance on the VH1 reality show.
Farrah who has been lambasted for appearing on the show alone, after it was widely reported that she attempted to pay men to participate in the televised therapy with her, explained her situation.
“Sadly, as I was approaching into Couples Therapy, my significant other chose that he didn’t want to be a part of it,” she says. Despite flying solo on the show, Farrah says she doesn’t have any regrets about having ended things with the ex in question.
“I was never broken up with. I was neglected,” she says. “I’m just happy that I’m not with that same person currently.”
While Farrah’s newfound notoriety may have earned her fans, she says that it’s Couples Therapy’s Dr. Jen who has been the most instrumental in getting her through her downtimes.
“I feel that she has helped me in a way of saying, ‘I can love myself,’ in the meantime of being alone, and this loneliness that I feel is not going to last forever.”
While Farrah is usually outspoken on topics from feminism to child-rearing, she was uncharacteristically quiet when it came time to talk about Taylor Armstrong.
“I’m just very sad that a lot of the older women in the household cannot help me and instead, it’s been very hurtful to feel that I can’t even be close to them … I think as you’ll watch the season unfold, what she’s saying contradicts what she does.”
As for the future, Farrah says she that her goals include marriage and more children. “I look forward to having a son one day … I can’t plan, but I hope to have one girl and one boy.”
