As awards season for celebrities gets into full swing famed attorney Gloria Allred is scooping-up her own accolade.
The campaigning legal eagle will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from The National Trial Lawyers at the third annual Trial Lawyers Summit in South Beach, Florida, on January 20, 2014.
Over the years Allred has garnered a reputation as a fearless defender for women and the minorities while chalking-up various landmark victories during her illustrious career.
The tireless lawyer, feminist and civil rights advocate, has also become equally well known as a commentator on both television and radio.
And over the years she has not shirked from fighting celebrities and politicians – crossing swords with the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Herman Cain, Tommy Lee, Anthony Weiner and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Allred graduated from Loyola University School of Law in Los Angeles and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1975.
Her firm Allred, Maroko And Goldberg, is one of the leading women’s rights firms in the country, while she was awarded the President’s Volunteer Action Award from Ronald Reagan and has also been acclaimed by President Barack Obama for her campaigning career.
