Former The View panelist Elisabeth Hasselbeck has landed where she truly belongs…Fox News.
The conservative former daytime talk show hostess no longer has to argue with the likes of liberal-leaning Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar on topics of the day as she’s now surrounded by like-minded co-hosts on Fox’s morning show Fox and Friends. She replaces Gretchen Carlson, who is getting her own show on the network.
In her first day on the job the 36-year-old made a couple of quick platitudes to the show that gave the former Survivor contestant her first big break on daytime TV, then jumped right into the fray alongside her co-hosts claiming a new report on Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi investigation let top officials off the hook (are we REALLY still on Benghazi guys?).
She then got into a debate the differences between the questions asked of the two Miss America final contestants during Sunday night’s telecast. One finalist got asked about the Obama administration’s threats to attack Syria over the use of chemical weapons – the other about Miley Cyrus twerking at the VMAs and her nude music video for Wrecking Ball.
Hasselbeck noted “In defense…in our home, twerking is a weapon of mass destruction. I see nothing wrong.”
