Apparently not everyone wants to talk about the Miley Cyrus-Liam Hemsworth-Eiza Gonzalez love triangle. At the top of that list? The three people involved. While nary a word has been spoken publicly by Miley or Liam, Eiza has had a tougher time warding off the press.
The actress spoke to reporters at a press conference in Mexico City on September 19, but things got a little out of hand. While the 23-year-old, who now lives in Los Angeles, was there to discuss the DVD release of the Spanish language edition of The Croods (Los Croods), to which she lends her voice, the topic soon turned to Liam.
Although she tried to brush off questions with a simple (translated) “Well, actually, I have nothing to say on that subject,” reporters kept at it. "I'm happy and focused on my work ... It's amazing to work with 20th Century Fox and be opening a new market for Mexicans and Latinos in the United States,” Eiza said of working in more mainstream US and Latin American markets. “As a child there was nothing Spanish in movies until we saw them on DVD. I'm happy and hoping that I get a lot of work.”
But though Eiza tried to keep talk about the voiceover work and her future projects the center of conversation, she was asked whether Liam was one of the reasons she was enjoying life in L.A. so much. "Los Angeles is a city that energizes me. The city is constantly growing and has a great movie culture. Right now, my job is my happiness and I am very happy,” Eiza responded diplomatically.
Later, when questions got even more personal, Eiza’s representatives decided to end the press conference early, causing photographers to shout questions at her like, “Are you in love?,” “What would you say to Miley?,” and the like.
It sounds like we’ll have to wait a little longer to know the real story behind Eiza and Liam, who were spotted kissing just a couple days ago right on the heels of confirmation that Milliam is over. Surprisingly, the Internet has yet to explode.Sources: E! Latin America Online/ People magazine
