Every time the next nude photo scandal comes around — particularly when younger celebrities are involved — we always have to wonder why they would do something that, time and time again, has backfired so epically for so many other people. But Dylan Sprouse, the most recent victim of a naked photo leak, offers up a pretty simple explanation: he looked hot, and wanted to share it.
And share it, he did — with just about everybody in the world, albeit accidentally.
After the pictures leaked Sunday night, Dylan owned up right away, and pretty gracefully, we might add. And yesterday, the former Suite Life of Zack and Cody star opened up on his Tumblr to explain why the photos were even taken in the first place.
“The reason I’m making light of the situation is because I don’t think what I did was wrong,” Dylan wrote, remaining very straightforward from the very beginning of his post. “To be blunt, I was proud of my progress in the gym, thought I looked hot, and wanted to share it.”
Fair enough. And, Dylan also points out, he isn’t into the idea of trying to “teach people that you should ‘hide yourself’ as something incredibly sacred. Blah, blah, blah, that’s a medieval notion.”
According to the 21-year-old aspiring video game designer, “the real problem here was not me sending my pictures to someone, but sending them to the WRONG someone.”
He ends with our favorite part of the entire post: “I’m to blame and I’ll look this incident in the eye like a man. I did it, and I’ll be damned if I didn’t own that sh—t like Beyonce would want me to.”
We have to applaud Dylan for handling such an awkward situation so well, especially for someone so young — you go, Dylan! Be the Beyonce you know you were born to be!
