Drew Barrymore is already working on baby number 2 with husband Will Kopelman — who is due this spring — and this time around, she’s realized her true pregnancy weakness: food. When Drew stopped by Ellen this week, she dished on how her second pregnancy is going so far… and all about her 15-month-old daughter, Olive.
“I just eat everything I want, which isn’t healthy,” Drew confessed. “I’m bigger this time than my first time. My doctor the other day was like, ‘Yeah, so I think maybe pull back. A little bit.’”
“It takes nine months to make it, it takes nine months to unmake it,” Drew reasoned. “I want to enjoy the pasta right now … What’s 10 pounds?”
That’s how we feel about pasta too — and we’re not even pregnant. So it’s not like we can blame her! Besides, she’s right: she’s totally creating human life right now. That warrants a little extra indulging.
And is Olive ready to be a big sister? She’s too young to possibly be aware of what’s going on in her family, right?
Maybe not! “She points to my stomach and goes, ‘baby,’” Drew said.
“She’s really smart, and she can do every animal noise,” Drew added. “We’re up to like, 26 animals. I’m telling you, it’s amazing. Camel’s her favorite.”
Hopefully Olive doesn’t mind all the sounds her new baby sister will inevitably make!
