There are five factions in the futuristic dystopia of Divergent, but here in the real world, there are only two: people who love the YA franchise and people who haven't read Veronica Roth's hit novels yet.
The balance will undoubtedly change come March 21, when the big-screen adaptation of the first book hits cinemas. To get us hyped for the release, Summit Entertainment just released the final trailer for the action flick.
Divergent stars The Spectacular Now's Shailene Woodley as Beatrice "Tris" Prior, a teenager who finds her psyche makes her an anomaly — uniquely brave but also unsuitable for any of the five factions.
She tries to blend in in the Dauntless faction, but others gradually realize she's different, both friends — like Tris's mentor, Four (Theo James) — and foes — like ruthless Erudite leader Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet).
"Fear doesn't shut you down — it wakes you up," Four tells Tris in this trailer. "That's what makes you dangerous."
We also get more footage from Tris's aptitude test and fear simulations — and we see how she bravely conquers both. We also see more interaction between Tris and her mother (Ashley Judd), who seems more like a co-conspirator than a parent. And we get jolts of the electric chemistry between Tris and Four. (Is there a faction for Smolderingly Hot?)
