Dennis Rodman, who is visiting North Korea with a team of fellow former NBA players, had a heated argument with Chris Cuomo of CNN’s New Day on Tuesday and RumorFix has the video.
The basketball star got upset when Chris pressed him on whether the group should have traveled there.
The NBA players are participating in a basketball game on Wednesday on the 31st birthday of Kim Jong Un, the country’s controversial leader. “I love my friend,” Rodman said. “This is my friend.”
When Cuomo asked Rodman if he was going to question the North Korean leaders about Kenneth Bae, a U.S. citizen who as arrested in November 2012 for “hostile acts,” Rodman seemed to suggest that Bae did something wrong, but he wouldn’t elaborate.
“Do you understand what he did in this country?” Rodman asked Cuomo. “No, no, no, you tell me, you tell me. Why is he held captive here in this country, why? … I would love to speak on this. You know, you’ve got 10 guys here, 10 guys here, that have left their families, they’ve left their damn families, to help this country in a sports venture. That’s 10 guys, all these guys here, do anyone understand that?”
“We do,” responded Cuomo. “And we appreciate that and we wish them well with cultural exchange.”
Rodman continued. “I don’t give a rat’s a** what the hell you think. I’m saying to you, look at these guys here, look at them … they dared to do one thing, they came here.”
