You’ve already seen Girl Most Likely, right? Stupid question. Of course you’ve seen it, since it has Darren Criss (Blaine) in it, for cryin’ out loud! And you can now watch it on your TV as often as you please. Whether you also decide to tape a photo of your face onto Kristen Wiig’s body on the cover of the DVD to make it look like you’re the one dating Darren is entirely up to you.
That’s right: Girl Most Likely — the comedy film that came out in July 2013 starring Kristen, Darren, Annette Bening, and Matt Dillon — is being released today on Video On Demand and Digital, and it will come out on DVD and Blu-ray on November 5. Hooray!
We thought the movie was a ton of fun, with a lot of laughs and quirky characters. Plus, Darren is definitely the best part about the movie, and he knocks his role as boy band impersonator Lee out of the park. In fact, just thinking about it makes us want to see it again.
The filmmakers apparently had a blast making the film with Darren. “Everyone loves Darren Criss,” the movie’s co-director Robert Pulcini tells ET Online. “I mean, he’s such a likable guy.” No argument here.
But we suppose you can be forgiven if you didn’t manage to catch the film in theaters. Girl Most Likely never got a wide release for some reason, and so it ended up grossing a shockingly low grand total $1.7 million dollars. What gives, America?
Luckily, you can remedy this by getting it now to watch the film from the comfort of your own couch. Yes, you’ll see Darren sing and dance in a Backstreet Boys cover band, speak French periodically (swoon!), and get shirtless... a lot.
So why are you still reading this? Go buy the freakin’ film already! We did mention the part about him being shirtless a lot, right?
