They promised an intense and traditional performance and they certainly delivered, moving quickly across the floor with spins and sharp movements and fast footwork. Corbin was the second to take his shirt off (after Brant Daughterty and Peta Murgatroyd’s Salsa) but it was the passion of the performance that was most mesmerizing — especially when she slapped him!
“I loved it!” Carrie Ann immediately exclaimed, but it was hard to hear over the loud roar of the crowd. “The intensity was smoldering … it was absolutely stunning.” She did add that he needs to work on his arms, though.
“Thank you for doing no gimmicks, because you don’t need it. You are so brilliant and your detail to perfection, and Karina, amazing choreography,” Julianne said, but gave some constructive criticism for his hips to be a little more under.
“It was an incredibly powerful performance,” Bruno concluded, and with that, they scored 9s across the board, giving them 27 points overall.
