First we learned that the snow storm that passed through Atlanta earlier this week stranded Kim Zolciak’s middle daughter Ariana at a friends house, and now we’ve heard that the snowfall and ice created problems for Cynthia Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas as well. What gives, weather?
Cynthia and Peter flew into Atlanta from New York City on January 29, and although their plane landed safely, they soon discovered that most of Atlanta’s roads were covered in ice, and feared they would have to spend the night in the airport. Upon landing back in the A, Cynthia Instagrammed the above photo and wrote, “STRANDED IN ATLANTA AIRPORT. Car service left us. Roads are crazy. Spending the night at Atlanta airport. Taking a picture of @peterthomasrhoa take a picture of me.”
Spending the night in an airport is never fun, especially when you’re just a few miles away from your own home, but luckily Cynthia’s thrifty hubby had an idea and convinced a cab driver waiting outside to slowly drive the couple back to their home. Still the journey was scary to say the least. “Cab driver is taking back roads driving very slow. Thanks for all your prayers,” Cyn later shared.
Peter and Cynthia made it home safe and sound, but the supermodel was still thinking of those who were stranded in different places throughout the Southern city. “I pray that everyone here in Georgia has made it home safely to their families #snowstorm2014 #staywarm,” she tweeted.
Who knew a few inches of snow and some ice would bring Atlanta to a standstill?! We’re just glad Cynthia, Peter, and the rest of the RHoA cast is safe. Are you surprised that Peter convinced a cab driver to take him and Cynthia home when the roads were so bad? Tell us what you think below!
